MADONNA + JESUS = END

 Sample Image

That isn’t some jab at Christianity… it’s the latest news in the revolving door that is the Material Girl’s love life.

Madonna has been dating Brazilian underwear model Jesus Luz for a year now. Madonna is 51, Jesus is 23… yeah, there’s a wee bit of an age difference considering Madge is older than Jesus’ mom (I don’t think you realize the self restraint it takes to not make a Madonna and child joke right here).

Surprisingly it was Jesus that ended things. The 23-year old couldn’t get over the age difference, nor could he deal with the seeming lack of communication in their relationship. As for Madonna, she says they just ran out of things to talk about, spending most of their talking time discussing Kabbalah (yes, that is ironic).

Cheryl Cole, the British singer best known as a judge on U.K. television series The X Factor, will support the Black Eyed Peas on the British portion of their upcoming The E.N.D. world tour. Cole is expected to perform songs from her chart-topping solo debut album, 3 Words on the U.K. leg, which kicks off in London's O2 Arena on May 5. Peas mastermind will.i.am worked with Cole on several songs for 3 Words.

Lady GaGa, Wyclef Jean and Lil Wayne have joined the galaxy of stars coming together to record a remake of the classic 1985 benefit song “We Are The World”!

Other artists working on the track include Bono, Kanye West, P!nk, Usher, Justin Bieber, Akon, Jennifer Hudson, Snoop, LL Cool J, Keri Hilson, Jamie Foxx,Toni Braxton, Kid Cudi, GaGa’s producer RedOne and will.i.am among a ton of others.

Lionel Richie, who co-wrote the charity single with Michael Jackson, is working with Quincy Jones, the song’s original producer, to organize the 25th anniversary remake to benefit Haiti relief.

In a statement, Jones said, “Twenty five years ago, the entertainment industry showed the power of community to help our fellow man when we recorded ‘We Are The World’ to bring relief to those suffering from famine in Ethiopia. And while the need to assistant Africa continues, today the country of Haiti is suffering immeasurably from the destruction due to the recent earthquake and is in immediate need of relief that will last long after the television cameras have left. As artists, we have joined together on this 25th anniversary and in the spirit of ‘We Are The World’ to help meet that need.”

GRAMMY-winner RedOne was also excited about getting started on the project…

“It’s like, the biggest honor in life to get a call from our father in music Quincy Jones, and Lionel Richie, and Randy Phillips to actually as me to help produce the new version of ‘We Are the World’ and I remember when I was a kid listening to that song over and over again. Michael Jackson, all these people and suddenly like 25 years later I’m the one that’s gonna be helping to produce that. It’s the biggest honor and this is the greatest like, occasion I mean to do something for people for Haiti.”

The original “We Are the World” was recorded in 1985 and brought together artists like Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner and Cyndi Lauper to aid famine victims in Africa.
